The Problem of Graduates’ Jobs Hunting
Job hunting has always been a headache for college students. Though many graduates are employed right after graduation, some are not. What is worse, some still have no idea where to work even after a long time after graduation.
The reasons for this phenomenon are various. Firstly, a few years ago colleges and universities enrolled so many students in popular majors that the number of graduates was larger than the need in the market. Secondly, universities put more emphasis on the teaching of theories, rather than practical use. Thirdly, most graduates would rather stay in large cities without suitable job to do than go to the country.
This problem is not easy to be solved. Both colleges and students should take measures. Universities should research the market and develop special skills to suit its need. Students’ attitude towards employment should be changed. They should go to small cities and country, where talents are urgently needed.
